Well, as I have said in my past posts, this was a phenomenal event. The 240SX's made a terrific showing as did the 300ZX's and the SER's.
In total we had 22 Z cars attend 16 of which were Z-32's. It was very nice getting to meet some of the newer members like SolidNAZ, ScubaSteve, Speedin Z32, Scottinfl, Escaflowne, Jay, Russ, and everyone else who is escaping me at the moment. Also, thanks have to go out to the core members like Sean Wood, Matt Uber, Vik Saini, Howard, Raul, Laura. The night was capped off by some dinner at Chili's...where we subjected 1 poor waiter to dealing with like 40 of us...needless to say he received a very good tip from the group.
After, dinner we all cruised across Tampa, and over the Howard Franklin bridge to Pinellas county to watch the street racing at "The Tides" off of Ulmerton. There, it was the 240SX's that reigned supreme with top marks going to Jay's turbo KA powered 240 which anihilated a blown Dodge Viper, and to Esteban's SR20DET powered S-13 which made some 01' Cobras look tame :-) The Dyno event ran ont he following day, commencing around noon and finishing around 6pm. All the Z's that dyno'd seem to fall within the 300-330 HP range, with top dyno runs going to KA turbo S-13 at 360hp, and a SR20DET S-14 at 405. All, in all this was a terrific event that turned out very well. There were a few downsides, but above all it worked well getting together with the 240SX crew from Fresh Alloy and I look forward to planning more events with Ian and Bill in the future.
